Now let us have a brief talk about St. Alex. Though St. Alex was born in a rich roman family, he learned to be generous in life, since his childhood. His prime source of inspiration was his parent. Thus, from childhood he was heavily motivated by spiritual thoughts. And then he started to act accordingly. St. Alex left home when he was just 17 and carried as much wealth with him as he could. He met many beggar and sick people on his way and gave everything to them whatever he had, as an act of charity.

He stayed out of home for 17 long years and suddenly one day he felt the presence of our lady of Lourdes who praised her for all of his charitable acts. St. Alex then started to feel that he was getting proud of his own doings which was definitely not a good sign as per the holy Bible. To get rid of it, he traveled back to his home. To his surprise no one from his family could recognize him since he was in a beggar’s attire. And he lived there until his death as a servant. Only after his death his family learned that he was the lost child of the family.
